[Bug 501811] [NEW] automatic system connection does not connect automatically

Binary package hint: network-manager-pptp

I was able to create a working system-level pptp connection with a workaround of this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-pptp/+bug/500718
And then it appears that it isn't being connected on startup automatically despite "connect automatically" option is set.
Also user-level connection is not being connected automatically on login.

affects: latest NM in karmic and also packages from
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/network-manager/trunk/ubuntu karmic main
latest as of now. (network-manager-pptp 0.8~rc1-0ubuntu2~nmt1~karmic)
