Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: geda

Please sync the latest upstream version from Debian unstable (main).

NB: This is not just a simple sync, as the upstream sources now come in one tarball, not several geda-* packages.
The new Debian source package is "geda-gaf", which is the name of the upstream tarball. The Debian version is 1.6.0-3

Following successful sync of geda-gaf-1.6.0-3, the following obsolete
sources need to be removed from the archive:

geda (Although for some reason, this doesn't appear to show up in Lucid on packages.ubuntu.com)
geda-gattrib
geda-gnetlist
geda-gschem
geda-symbols
geda-utils
libgeda

The new "geda-gaf" source package provides all the equivalent binary
packages which these used to provide.

Please note that geda-xgsch2pcb is a separate source package, and should
NOT be removed.

Only geda-gattrib had any Ubuntu changes, and these are superseed by the new release version. (They were a backport of some changes to fix a FTBFS).

** Affects: geda (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
