That is not quite what I am experiencing, as I don't get any window to
come up at all and I have tried all the things suggested there.  Sorry I
wasn't clear. I moved .mozilla out of my home folder which includes both
./mozilla/firefox and ./mozilla/plugins.  Also, I tried rebooting my
computer and that didn't help.
