[Bug 498870] [NEW] (Xubuntu) Compositor places panel shadow over application status bar.

In Xubuntu 9.10 the panel's shadow is visible through the bottom of a maximized window. It looks like a gray smudge (see attached screenshot). Application windows would look better if they covered the shadow that the panel casts on the desktop.
