Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: plymouth
When typing a passphrase into the prompt presented by plymouth ask-for-
password, if the starred-out letters exceed the width of the text box,
they will continue to be drawn off the edge of the box. Plymouth should
do as, e.g., gdm and gnome-screensaver do, and only display the
rightmost n characters.
