[Bug 496575] [NEW] Maildir support in alpine

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: alpine

The alpine package doesn't support Maildir out of the box, but on the
webpage [*] there are patches which implement it for different alpine
versions.

Please someone apply it and get it to the Ubuntu repos.
This was observed on Ubuntu Hardy LTS Server. No idea about other versions.
