I'd like to inform you that since Oct 30th the new version 1.34 is

Note1:
The version currently in the distribution (1.33.dfsg-1) has been entirely unusable (at least to me) for almost one year due to the boilerplate changes.

Note2:
Version 1.35pre1 fixes a bug that slipped into 1.34 and can be found at <http://xml.resource.org/authoring/xml2rfc-dev.zip>.

Looking forward for the updated package.
