I'm having the same problem on 9.10 netbook remix (on Asus EeePC). After
installing cgoban from aptitude and trying to run it, it crashes with
the following error immediately after selecting board size.

sfryer at ubuntu:~$ cgoban
sfryer at ubuntu:~$ X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 53 (X_CreatePixmap)
Serial number of failed request: 6934
Current serial number in output stream: 7630
GNU Go: Sorry, error from gmp client
gnugo-gmp: Error "System error." occurred.

sfryer at ubuntu:~$ uname -a
Linux ubuntu 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 16 14:04:26 UTC 2009 i686 GNU/Linux

sfryer at ubuntu:~$ lspci -vvv # abbreviated

I understand from some googling that this is a bug in Xorg, possibly
related to the Intel display driver (or it's setting).
