Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: asterisk

Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10

Trying to use lua module luasql.postgres in asterisk

I do require "luasql.postgres"

and i get

[Dec 10 13:59:08] ERROR[2445]: pbx_lua.c:1440 load_or_reload_lua_stuff: Error loading extensions.lua: error loading module 'luasql.postgres' from file '/usr/lib/lua/5.1/luasql/postgres.so':
        /usr/lib/lua/5.1/luasql/postgres.so: undefined symbol: lua_getfield

I dumped package.cpath location and all should be well

-- Executing [s at demo:1] noop("SIP/2002-027f8560", "./?.so;/usr/local/lib/lua/5.1/?.so;/usr/lib/lua/5.1/?.so;/usr/local/lib/lua/5.1/loadall.so")

I have read threads about other software and maybe this is because
asterisk is using lua statically instead of dynamically?

** Affects: asterisk (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
