[Bug 494687] [NEW] gthumb deletes pictures instead of rotating them

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gthumb

This always happens, whether using the rotate button on the toolbar, or using the rotate dialog from the menu.
My only clue is that gthumb emits the following lines when I press the rotate button (that's the output of _one_ rotate command):
