Howdy,

Searching for 'error' in the dpkg log turns up the following item:

<<
Setting up mythtv-database (0.22.0+fixes22594-0ubuntu1) ...
ERROR 1046 (3D000) at line 22: No database selected
dpkg: error processing mythtv-database (--configure):
 subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
>>

It appears that at least part of a package (specifically mythtv-
database) is still there. If you go into synaptic package manager and
type mythtv into the search box, you can verify if all packages are
removed or not. If you don't care about the contents of the mythtv
database, you may need to make sure to remove/purge it completely
(possibly via apt-get or aptitude in a terminal window).

** Changed in: mythtv (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Undecided => Low

** Changed in: mythtv (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Incomplete
