I have a similar problem with ACER 5715. The fan never starts when I
first boot up my system (it can eventually shut down when the temp.
reaches about 90 deg. C). If I reboot when it's hot, then the fan starts
at the boot and never stops (which is better than never starting).

No problems in Windows, and no problems before upgrading from Jaunty.

What information should I send? I don't have a clue on where to start
looking for the problem.
