just run quickly on it's own and it gives a backtrace rather than usage; looks like you need to check number of parameters
before looking at them:

dg at davros:~$ quickly 
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/quickly", line 233, in <module>
    if sys.argv[1] == 'shell-completion':
IndexError: list index out of range
dg at davros:~$
