[Bug 418676] [NEW] logapp truncates output

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: logapp

Logapp wraps lines it writes to log files to the same width as is its's
terminal. Moreover, if the line is wrapped, it loses one character at
the wrap positition.

Example from a logfile:
(Reading database ... 9536 files and directories currently install
d.)
Unpacking pbuilder-satisfydepends-dummy (from .../pbuilder-satisfy
epends-dummy.deb) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of pbuilder-satisf
depends-dummy:
 pbuilder-satisfydepends-dummy depends on debhelper (>= 5); howeve

command was:
logapp -a 1 -l logfile.log command

OS: Ubuntu 9.04
