Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vobcopy

If you run vobcopy inside a directory which has spaces in it, vobcopy
will attempt to write to a file to the directory which has the similar
name but with underscores in place of spaces.

To reproduce:
mkdir A\ B
cd A\ B
vobcopy -n 1 -t out

What happens:
[Error] Error opening file /home/user/A_B/out1.vob.partial

What i expect to happen:
vobcopy should only substitute spaces for underscores in the file name itself, not in the path leading to the file

** Affects: vobcopy (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
