Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: ddrescue
After running sudo apt-get install ddrescue apt and all dependent
applications(ie, update-manager, Synaptic) stop working. From command
line I got the error that something interupted dpkg and I needed to run
dpkg configure -a. I removed ddrescue and all was well in the world,
well my system anyway.
