[Bug 414785] [NEW] mysql-query-browser and mysql-admin both try to connect via socket only although a tcp connection was specified

Public bug reported:

I have a ssh-tunnel to my remote database host. localhost:9999 ist
forwarded. When I configure mysql-admin to connect to localhost:9999 it
uses the socket connection to my locally running mysql server. This is
very confusing. Only using 127.0.0.1:9999 uses the tcp connection.

** Affects: mysql-gui-tools (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
