I see in the diff we have the following

Although I cant find in the merge log why we do this? Best I could find where it was added...

 * Makefile: Added AOE_CFG_OBJ to the clean target.

Any idea why we don't do this? If there is a good reason, we need to add
it to our changelog for carried changes. Else lets drop that change...
