[Bug 411001] [NEW] mgp magicpoint hangs with black screen on start

Public bug reported:

When launching the packaged example slideshow the shown screen is black.

The 'top' program says the processor is 88% occupied by the mgp process
(and 99.7% altogether).

The command executed and the console output:

When using an mgp file without a single line of text - just two directives:
%page
%back "white"
It renders as a white screen and does not hang out the processor.
