Yeah, only 2.49 is in Debian at the moment. I'm not sure who wrote the
comment on https://merges.ubuntu.com/universe.html about waiting for
2.49a from upstream Anyway, it's not really any extra effort to do the
2.49 merge and update to 2.49a all in one go - 2.49a isn't a
particularly big upgrade really, and we don't have to stall on Debian.
