Having a similar problem. Firefox is using swfdec for all things Flash
and most of it isn't working. Youtube video's have sound out of sync
with video and on the BBC website the videos start to load and then give
an error saying that the content is not available at this time. Happens
on all flash videos on BBC website.

Upgraded from 8.10 to 9.04 yesterday. Can't seem to switch to using the
Adobe flashplayer either since Firefox thinks it's not installed but
when I choose to install it it says that it is (see this bug
