Same issue as original reporter here, on my 2 intrepid -> jaunty
upgraded today - one amd64 and one i386.

This is a fix found at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1112676

sudo apt-get purge flashplugin\* ; sudo apt-get install flashplugin-
nonfree
