I've received this answer from an administrator of kdenlive bug report
tools :

Works fine here with Jaunty and ffplay (FFmpeg) compiled from source. So
it must be something related to Ubuntu's ffplay / ffmpeg version...

Is it possible to change ffplay in jaunty ? it seems to be the
trouble...
