Ubuntu 8.10

libsynce0
0.14~20090410-0ubuntu0~ppa1~intrepid1 0
        500 http://ppa.launchpad.net intrepid/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     0.11.1-1 0
        500 http://au.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/universe Packages

This bug sounds related to my problem which is articulated by others
here
http://www.uluga.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=7075820#post7075820

since this package was upgraded a couple of days ago from 0.13 I have
been unable to synce my WM6.1 device. synce-trayicon no longer functions
correctly and multisync 0.90 reports being 'Unable to read from one of
the members'

some output:

$ synce-pls
