Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: catfish

When attempting to search an NTFS partition (XP was cleanly shut down)
mounted to /mnt without needing to "force" - Catfish will not search any
folders with a space in the name.

Ubuntu 8.04.1 Release 8.04
This on a Live Disk ... not installed on a hard drive.
The iso I'm using came from this link...
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/xubuntu/releases/8.04.1/release/xubuntu-8.04.1-desktop-i386.iso
No changes were made before burning the image to a disk and booting to it.

The command "apt-cache policy catfish" gives
catfish:
  Installed: 0.3-0ubuntu2
  Candidate: 0.3-0ubuntu2
  Version table
*** 0.3-0ubuntu2 0
        500 http://archive.ubuntu.com hardy/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Installed catfish with "sudo apt-get install catfish".
Launched Catfish from terminal with command "catfish"

Terminal displays the following lines immediately after the "catfish"
command is entered

(catfish.pyc:8295): libglade-WARNING **: Error loading image: Failed to open file '/usr/share/catfish/catfish.svg': No such file or directory
(catfish.pyc:8295): libglade-WARNING **: could not convert string to type 'GdkPixbuf' for property 'icon'

The catfish window then opens.

Selecting the folder
/mnt/Documents and Settings/USER
to search in and then searching for any search term gives the error message "No files were found" in the search results pane.
At the same time in Terminal the following line is displayed
find: Settings: No such file or directory

Removing the spaces from the folder name (so "DocumentsandSettings") and
then repeating the above process for the new path gives a successful
search and displays files matching the search terms in the results pane.

This is all the information I have available but it shold be enough to recreate the bug on another machine.

** Affects: catfish (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
