Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rt2400

I have a RT2460 card in my laptop and it hasn't worked with any release out of the box since 7.04. I managed to get the card working with Gutsy by installing the 7.04 kernel. I have tried the live cd of every subsequent release including Jaunty but it hasn't worked.
Basically the card is recognised and but no wireless networks are listed by the NM applet. When I try and connect to a hidden network using the SSID I get the icon indicating that it is trying to connect for about 30 seconds then I get prompted for the wireless network details again. Very occasionally the wireless network WILL show up in the NM applet and I am able to connect. However I am unable to determine when this happens.
I can provide any information that's needed.

** Affects: rt2400 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
