[Bug 303011] [NEW] 2.5.1 driver release is outrageously slow

The new 2.5.1 release of the Intel driver is horribly slow.

As seen in the screenshot, the standard cube view in Compiz runs at a
headache-inducing 2 frames per second. With 2.4, the framerate was
easily ten times faster.

Jaunty, newest updates as of 11/27/2008, 10:00 EST.
Package version: 2.5.1-1ubuntu1
What I expected to happen: A frame rate of at least 10fps.
What happened instead: Slowness. Lots and lots of slowness.
