Only in VLC
In both windowed and fullscreen
For any movie I tested (not depending on format or size)
In both wxWidget default GUI, and the other one (Skins)
Removing ~/.vlc does not help

The line is also in windowed mode, and then it covers anything else on the desktop, so it acts like a popup window sort of
(but it is permanently there).

This problems happens always.


** Description changed:

- When going to full screen, then:
- 1) border stays (bug #81378)
+ When playing a movie then:
+ 1) border stays (bug #81378)  (in fullscreen)
  2) a small white vertical line stays on top, and it dissapears only when I quit VLC and move something to damage that part of screen (nvidia, binary driver, amd64 smp)
+ this white line is above everything else on the desktop (in windowed mode) so it acts like a popup window or something
