[Bug 289274] Re: rubygems takes up 200 MB of memory when 'bulk updating'

Rubygems 1.2.0+ no longer performs bulk updates. Earlier versions of
Rubygems had memory consumption issues.

Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10 contains rubygems1.8 1.3.0~RC1really1.2.0-2ubuntu3.

Please confirm that you are indeed running Ubuntu 8.10 (lsb_release -r)
and that the correct rubygems package is installed (dpkg -l rubygems).
