Hi!
As I said in a previous mail, after I had reinstalled packages associated with "gtk2hs" this problem disappeared. Anyhow, I send you my packages.conf file.

My real problem is that I cannot activate compiz since my upgrade to 8.1.
I understand many are waiting for a new release of an nvidia driver to work with newer X11. 

If you have any clue about this ....

Hi,

hm... this is quite strange and I'm sorry that I can't reproduce it atm. Do you have any local haskell packages installed/registered?
can you attach a copy of /usr/lib/ghc-6.8.2/package.conf please?

Status in “gtk2hs” source package in Ubuntu: New

Bug description:
I tried to uninstall all nvidia drivers and than to reinstall them (because couldn't run compiz ufter upgrade to hardy 8.1)
May     be I uninstaled too much...

Now when I try to select the proposed nvidia driver at the
system/admistration/hardware drivers I get this message
