[Bug 299904] [NEW] Thumbnails won't load

Public bug reported:

After installing kflickr on a clean Intrepid installation, I found that
when I added photos, the thumbnails didn't load, instead kflickr just
displayed a 'broken thumbnail' icon.

This used to be a problem on Hardy too, except that it could be easily
fixed by installing some packages that kflickr was dependant on:

sudo apt-get install kdebase-kio-plugins

However, it appears that as Intrepid uses a newer version of KDE, the
package above can no longer be installed

sudo apt-get install kdebase-kio-plugins

Ok, the chinese above basically says that there isn't a package called
kdebase-kio-plugins but that it has been 'absorbed' into another package
called 'mediamanager'. I installed mediamanager too but to no avail.

Any suggestions on how I can get this working again?
