Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: python-libpcap

python-libpcap (0.6.1+cvs.2007.07.28-2) and python-pypcap
(1.1.2+debian-1) each provide a Python module called 'pcap'. python-
libpcap provides /usr/share/pycentral/python-libpcap/site-
packages/pcap.py, which gets symlinked into /usr/lib/python2.5/site-
packages. python-pypcap provides /usr/lib/python2.5/site-
packages/pcap.so. If both packages are installed, the -pypcap module is
used when 'import pcap' is executed by the Python interpreter.

This is all under Intrepid, recently updated.

** Affects: python-libpcap (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
