Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: brasero

1. Drag a 79.4MB audio file into Brasero (about 7:52 minutes according to Totem).
--> It complains that the file is shorter than 6 seconds and will be padded at its end
--> It displays the length of the track as 0:06 min
--> It updates the time used in the bar to 00:12 min

2. Drag a second 66.7MB file (about 6:36 according to Totem)
--> Another complaint about the file being too short
--> Displays the track length as 0:06
--> Updates time used to 18:00

The expected behaviour is obvious.

Intrepid, Brasero 0.8.2
