This bug still exists in 8.04:

am at ixion:~/tmp$ gnupod_addsong *

FooBar.pm: Could not execute /usr/bin/gnupod_otgsync.pl, autosync SKIPPED!
Looks like GNUpod isn't installed correct! did you run 'make install?'
