I dunno about reproducing this. I just installed it.

sudo apt-get/aptitude install listen.

Then on terminal run listen

$listen

then When listen opens used preferences

Music > Preferences

in General

checked Enable trayicon
checked Close to systray
     " Enqueue as default action
" Don't clear the playlist when play a new song

In Library
made /home/shirish/Music as the default location for library

checked Check my library for deleted files on startup
checked Check my library for added/changed files on startup

Close down listen

Move all my music there (which are in its own respective
folders/directories)

Then start listen through terminal, it sees folders and what not and
starts to play and then gives the traceback.

Would attach the .xsession-errors file shortly.
