Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel

I run Ubuntu 8/10 on a Macbook with the following graphics card:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)
00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/GME, 943/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

I have a simple program written in C# which has about 50 lines of code
and I run it with Mono.

With certain input the program causes one of the following randomly but
reliably.

Instant hard reboot (most often)
Corruption of active window border
Hard freeze of system so that monitor shows flickering corruption, but the mouse pointer shows without error

I can give the code and data on request, but I'm not going to attach
them to this public bug report for obvious reasons.

** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
