Thanks for reporting this bug. Unfortunately, there is not enough
information for the developers to resolve this. Please answer the
following questions:
What version of Xubuntu is this? You can find that using 'lsb_release -rd' in a terminal.
What version of xfdesktop4? You can find that using 'apt-cache policy xfdesktop4' in a terminal.
By selecting Desktop Icons - None, you are telling Xfce you want a
desktop with out icons. Do you have a color set under the Appearance
tab?
