Hi,

I see that the reporter of this issue has not replied. But I experience
the same bug in OpenArena. When OpenArena gets windowed everything looks
brighter, probably because I raised the bright bar in OpenArena.

1. Ubuntu 8.10
2. Yes, I've tried AlienArena and other full-screen applications and it seems to work fine.
3. I have all my visual effects on.

I'll try playing with the effects off and come back with the outcome.
