Similar error on Ubuntu 8.10
Automatically starting imwheel using /etc/X11/imwheel/startup.conf fails with:
imwheel[6069]: segfault at 4 ip b7f7c4f1 sp bf88e630 error 4 in libX11.so.6.2.0[b7f54000+eb000]
Starting imwheel manually works fine.
