On my Dell Latitude D620 with Ubuntu 8.10 (all patches applied) the
webcam "NORTEK WEBCAM 300" shows video only with cheese (not working in
camorama, skype, ekiga). Image quality is excellent, but the video
framerate is about 1 per second!
