To be honest, as I was creating the debdiff, I noticed that part of the
fix for this bug was already in the .diff for the version currently in
the archive. So I don't understand the build log for the failure on
armel.

If you could test build this on armel, I would really appreciate it.

If it does build, let's just import it into the archive. Then I can take my time working on the new upstream version.
Without being able to test on armel, I'm concerned that the new upstream will introduce new bugs.
