Looks like an Ubuntu-specific problem due to FORTIFY_SOURCE.  The crash is
deep inside Glib and Gtk+, so it's hard to see how to approach fixing it
(or even tracking it down) inside GnuBG itself.  It works fine in Debian,
where it's built without that option.
