Segfault on launch happened with Edgy and Dapper versions of qGo (your
crash log mentions qgo 1.0.4-r2-2) under certain circumstances.

The bug only appeared in Debian and Ubuntu, but was eventually fixed
upstream and doesn't happen in recent releases (recent Ubuntu versions
all carry 1.5.4, Jaunty has the latest version).

The crash you faced on IGS is not related (if it had crashed at launch,
you couldn't have opened any game windows). You could open a new bug
report, but bear in mind the sole developer of qGo is busy with qGo 2.0
and might not have time to look into it (unless it happens all the time
and you can easily reproduce it).
