Thierry - Thanks for your prompt response and please accept my apologies
for the delayed response as I was finishing up the semester. I'm
attaching a zip file of the requested logs. I suspect it was a transient
shutdown error, reinstalling seemed to work fine and AFAIK there are no
problems but my involvement with tomcat is minimal so it just means that
I have not noticed. Feel free to look at the logs and determine whether
anything needs to be done other than possibly just closing this as not a
bug. It sounds like you are familiar with what may have caused my
situation. Thanks again for all you do to support open source. Peace -
