Automatic syncs take place up until the Debian Import Freeze (DIF). The
DIF for Jaunty is on December 25, as can be seen by the release schedule
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/JauntyReleaseSchedule). Prior to that point,
packages with no Ubuntu changes will be automatically synced from
Debian. As a result, there is no need to file sync requests for those
packages. Usually, packages are synced within a week of being updated in
Debian. After the DIF, the automatic syncs stop, and you must manually
request syncs for these packages.
