strace dolphin --nofork > ~/dolphin.strace 2>&1

eventually you will have to drop the --nofork, I am not sure it is
necessary for Dolphin. Once dolphin opened just navigate to the samba
shares and close dolphin when the wrong icons appear.

Then attach the file dolphin.strace from your home to this bug.
