Here is a possible Workaround:
(found at http://wiki.compiz-fusion.org/Decorators/GTKWindowDecorator )

Start CompizConfigSettingsManager, activate BlurWindows,
Open gconf-editor, go to /apps/gwd/blur_type and set ist to "all"
