Hi titon.

We are unlikely to patch such a big thing in the Ubuntu package itself,
so I would recommend submitting your patch to the gravitywars developer
(gravitywars at yboris.com). If it is included upstream, it will then
either be packaged in Debian and synced into Ubuntu, or uploaded into
Ubuntu straight away.
