Problem was resolved by removing the "Virtual" section on Xorg.conf.
Nontheless a regular user who had no idea about this file wouldn't have
known about this. The "Virtual" section was added when I attached
another monitor and extended my desktop with it.

Could a feature request be included for Desktop Effects so that the user
may know when the virtual resolution of a desktop is too large to be
supported by the video card?
