[Bug 298579] Re: dvgrab, Error: no camera exists

I have experienced the follwoing:

* install dvgrab
* succesfully grab videos from a Canon HV30

* some days later, I got:

m at chakra:~$ sudo dvgrab -i
[sudo] password for m: 
raw1394 - failed to get handle: No such file or directory.
m at chakra:~$ sudo mknod -m 666 /dev/raw1394 c 171 0 
m at chakra:~$ sudo dvgrab -i
Error: no camera exists

Somewhere I read about a user who just changed the PCI-plug for the
card. This didn't help  here either.

lscpi gives:
